Why INCEIF

Tashkent State Economic University has entered into a Cooperation Agreement with INCEIF University, Malaysia, under which the University in Tashkent will promote Executive Masters in Islamic Finance Program (eMIF) in Uzbekistan. Distance learning in this intense program requires some initial background and fluency in English, therefore tutors from TSEU will provide required technical and academic support – the University will provide its infrastructure for classes and exams, will assist in creation of Project papers on adaptation of Islamic finance in Uzbekistan.

  1. ABOUT INCEIF

Established by Bank Negara Malaysia (Central Bank of Malaysia), INCEIF aims to develop a globally competitive Islamic finance leaders to spark innovation and advance the industry’s position. Through its specialized academic programs, customized executive education and applied industrial research, INCEIF’s vision is to lead the way in the realm of Islamic financial studies. It is the first and only university in the world solely dedicated to the knowledge, science and practice of Islamic finance.

INCEIF aims to be the knowledge leader in Islamic finance through providing excellent teaching, research and thought leadership. In achieving this vision, it is important for INCEIF to bridge both academia and industry. This is translated into its academic syllabus which is structured based on the inputs from industry players as well as having faculty members who are globally respected I both Islamic finance academia and Islamic finance industry. 

Today, there are 1,747 INCEIF alumni from over 72 countries around the world. Some are already making meaningful contributions to the advancement of Islamic finance at all levels be it product development, policy framework and implementation; regulation and enforcement; and innovation.

At INCEIF, our academic programmes is embedded with a unique teaching method which is the Action Based Learning (ABL). Generally, ABL is a method of learning by essentially working on real projects, issues and challenges in association with selected partner companies, using models taught in the classroom with the support of mentors, faculty experts and industry leaders.

Collaborating with international partners from multiple verticals around the world, INCEIF continues to create and support programmes that embody the Islamic finance core principles of socioeconomic empowerment and an equitable financial system

In alignment with this shared mission, INCEIF has contributed to socially beneficial policy changes by participating in initiatives that rely on Islamic Social Finance, Responsible and Sustainable Finance in the context of UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Bank Negara Malaysia’s Value-based Intermediation (VBI) framework for the Islamic banking industry
